FUNERAL MEALS are available upon coordination between the family and the parish. A light lunch is prepared and served by parishioner volunteers in the parish hall following a funeral at St. Charles. Several hours are needed for preparation and serving that day.

"SHARING SUNDAYS" is observed on the first weekend of the month. Parishioners are invited to make monetary donations or to bring non-perishable food items to church. These items, in turn are sent to various local food pantries.

BAKERS are needed on an on-call basis for special occasions or functions during the year.

ACOLYTES serve at the altar, assisting the priest. They prepare the altar and the vessels and, as an auxiliary minister, assist the Eucharistic Ministers. This is usually performed by parish youth.

EUCHARISTIC MINISTERS serve the Host and the Wine in a reverent manner to the members of the congregation who come to the Altar.

LECTORS proclaim the Word of God at all weekend Masses and Major Feast days. Materials are provided for proper preparation and guidance is given at the beginning of this ministry so that Lectors will feel comfortable performing this important task. Assignments are monthly.

MINISTERS OF HOSPITALITY (USHERS) offer a sense of welcome and hospitality at each Mass. Adults and teens are invited to join this group. Ushers welcome worshipers, distribute Mass pamphlets and assist with seating worshipers, with the offertory collection and with the communion procession. You choose the Mass you wish to attend and the frequency of commitment.

MUSIC MINISTRY is a vital and fundamental part of our liturgies. For that reason there are many opportunities for service. The general areas are as follows:

The music ministry is also present for Solemnities, major Feasts, and the Sacraments of Christian Initiation.
bulletThe Family Choir—Sings at the 5:15 pm Saturday mass, twice a month. Practice is help at about 4:30. Any parishioner is welcome to join.
bulletJim and Carolyn Bauman—This couple has been playing at the 5:15 pm Saturday mass for years. They sing on the alternate Saturdays.
bulletCantor--The role of Cantor includes elements of Minister of Hospitality, teacher and song leader as well as its traditional liturgical function. Requirements include a pleasant singing voice, the ability to read music, and a strong desire to lead the people of God in prayer.
