¡Hola!

This is a brief overview of some of the concepts I will be teaching this year.

Kindergarten will learn basic colors, numbers, and farm animals.

1^st grade will learn additional colors, basic clothing words, and zoo animals.

2^nd grade will be introduced to simple school vocabulary, telling time on the hour and ½ hour, and body parts.

3^rd grade will learn days, months, family vocabulary, and transportation.

4^th grade will be introduced to a variety of greetings and farewells, additional numbers, shapes, and nature vocabulary.

5^th will learn basic introductory dialogues, additional vocabulary with the dates, seasons, and weather statements (past, present, and future).

6^th will learn more vocabulary with introductions, identify areas and objects of the house, additional clothing vocabulary with accessories, and composition of sentences with simple descriptive adjectives.

7^th will learn more numbers, memorize the Spanish alphabet, learn an extensive food vocabulary, be introduced to several Spanish verbs, and learn how to order in a restaurant.

8^th will be introduced to hotel/store vocabulary, places and professions of a community, extended family vocabulary, verb conjugation, additional time vocabulary, and reading/translation of simple narratives.

Review and practice are key elements in learning a foreign language, but we also try to have a little fun along the way.
