Drama Club

The club was initially started in 2007 by Mrs. Claire Edmond, Mrs. Joan Kawalec and Mrs. Julie Busch who felt St. Charles students deserved the opportunity to explore theater! With Sister Margaret's blessing, their initial endeavor, "Fiddler on the Roof", began a tradition of high end Broadway musicals that are second to none at this level! Our 2014 production of "School House Rock" was dedicated to the memory of Mrs. Edmond, who sadly we lost in 2013. Her love of theater has been passed on to the many students who have participated in our musicals throughout the past eight years.

The Drama Club will continue in the upcoming school year. This club meets once a month beginning in October. This year, Mrs. Julie Busch will be running the show with the assistance of Mrs. Kathy Pinter. Information regarding the first meeting will be sent through school. In January, the meeting will include instructions on how to audition. Auditions for the year's musical will be held in February. Once the cast is chosen; rehearsals will begin, and continue until the show opens in May!

Drama Club is open to students in grades five through eight. Anyone can take part, even if you are not planning to audition. There are other areas where you may contribute including: scenery, lights and back stage. We welcome everyone to take part! If you have any questions, please contact Mrs. Busch Email

Several members of St.Charles Drama Club and school kept busy this summer (2015) honing their acting skills at The Haylofters community theater. They sang their hearts out in the children's production of "Seussical: The Musical, Jr." directed by our own Julie Busch. It was a wonderful show with virtually sold out performances. Great job everyone!
