School Curriculum

The course of study at St. Charles School has been developed with guidance from the Milwaukee Archdiocesan Office for Schools and in accordance with the requirements of the State of Wisconsin. In addition to the secular subjects offered in the public schools (Language Arts, Reading, Math, Science, Social Studies, Art, Technology, Music, Physical Education and Spanish), we offer:

  • K3 and K4 Extended Day Program
  • Daily Prayer and Religious Instruction
  • Weekly Student-led Liturgical Celebrations
  • 2nd Grade Reconciliation & First Communion Sacraments programs
  • Fast ForWord® Reading Skills development
  • 8th Grade Field Trip to Washington, D.C.

The Archdiocese of Milwaukee has developed Grade Specific Catholic Education Curriculum to identify key religious education concepts for each grade level (1-8). These concepts are articulated in competence-based language.

Curriculum guides for parents were developed so schools and parents could identify what we want our students to know and be able to do at the end of each grade based on national state and local standards.
